Renovations and New Builds
KSD takes on a select number of construction projects each year, focusing on quality, boutique service and a truly personal design experience. We are here to guide you through initial plans to the final touches, partnering with you and your build team to bring the vision for your home to life. No matter the scale of your project - from a full home renovation to a powder room refresh - we manage all the details, keep the process running smoothly, and allow you to enjoy the excitement and fun in creating your dream home!
The Process
After an initial discovery call to get to know one another and learn about your project, we will schedule an in-person consultation at your home to see the spaces you'd like to transform, go over any questions, and discuss additional details. From there, we send you a proposal outlining the scope of work and our estimated design fee to complete the project.

Once you've approved the proposal, we will sign a contract and move to conceptual design development. We will get to work pulling together the look and feel of your design, and schedule time for an initial review of color palette, materials, and floorplan options for approval.

From there, we will create your final design plan, complete with all finish and material designs and selections, final floor plans, elevation drawings and 2D/3D mock ups of each space as needed. During our final design presentation, we will provide images, samples, swatches and details of every element of your design for your approval + sign off. We will bring the snacks!

On to the implementation phase, where your project comes to life. We provide a construction binder to your GC and build team, complete with all design schematics, dimensioned drawings, and a detailed spec book that outlines the comprehensive design plan for your space. We will work closely with your contractor to keep your project on track and keep you in the loop every step of the way. We will oversee the procurement, tracking and delivery of all decorative elements and furnishings, utilizing a receiving warehouse for white-glove service.
Finally, we will oversee the installation and styling of furnishings, art + accessories and be there to celebrate with you as we unveil your new space.
Furnishing + Styling
Bringing a space to life through furnishings and styling is the heart of what we do. A little paint, a great new rug, and a perfectly curated mix of furniture and accessories (including any special pieces that you want to incorporate) will transform not only your space, but how you live in it. Whether you are looking to fully furnish your whole home or just elevate a room or two, we handle it all - design, procurement, and installation - giving you access to our trusted network of vendors and resources, and tailoring your space to perfectly reflect you.

From there, we send you a proposal outlining the scope of work and our estimated design fee to complete the project.

From there, we will create your finalized design plan, complete with all finish and furnishing selections, final floor plans, elevation drawings as needed and 2D mock ups of each space. During our final design presentation, we will provide images, samples, swatches and details of every element of your design for your approval + sign off.

Duing the implementation phase, our team will procure all furnishings and send weekly status updates via email to keep you in the loop on progress and tracking of your items. We will schedule a dedicated "install day" to have all your items delivered via white glove service - that means no assembly and no cardboard boxes for you!
On install day (the BEST day!), you can sit back and relax while we install your furnishings and style out your space, providing a turnkey experience with every detail perfectly in place and ready for you to enjoy.
Designer for a Day

The Process
We will utilize our initial discovery call to assess your needs and make a game plan for our day together!
Day-of consists of 6 total hours of collaborative time with Katie, on site, to address the needs of your space. This could include floor plan sketches, paint/materials selections, shopping together for furnishings, arranging furniture layouts, accessory styling - you name it.
After our time together, we will work our magic behind the scenes organizing and outlining everything we discussed. We will deliver a clear, actionable and detailed summary straight to your inbox for you to utilize as you execute your project!

Our curation and styling services extend beyond interior design, and we specialize in perfecting the details in an elevated way that feels true to you! Decorating for the Holidays, small-scale event design, customized wedding/new baby/new home registry curation, or styling your family photo shoot - we are here to help you celebrate your most special moments without the stress.
